With Nikon Imaging Cloud you can download picture control imaging recipes, upload images direct to your cloud storage of choice and download firmware updates automatically direct to the camera.

With a dedicated Picture Control button, access to image recipes from Nikon Imaging Cloud and the ability to create your own image recipes, you can get the look you want straight out of the camera. Whether you require saturated colours, a bleached-out look, hazy pastels, dramatic contrast or old-school film, it’s all there at the touch of a button.

Pro-level video specs

The Nikon Z5II is a video creator’s dream. Shoot 4K at 30p, 4K at 60p cropped and 120p Full HD. You can choose N-RAW, H.265 or H.264 formats and, for truly cinematic control, you can film in N-Log for the ultimate flexibility in post. Video features include High-Res Zoom, which enables you to zoom up to 2x in full HD with no loss of resolution, Product Review Mode, which automatically changes focus from your face to an item held in front of the camera, and a video self-timer function. The Z5II is also the first Nikon Z camera that allows you to record N-RAW footage direct to an SD card – no more external monitors or expensive CFexpress cards.

Rock steady stabilisation

With up to 7.5 stops of Vibration Reduction, the Nikon Z5II is a master of the handheld moment. Whether you’re using longer than usual shutter speeds, telephoto lenses or want to freeze fast-moving action, you can do it with confidence. Focus Point VR is also available and works to stabilise the area around the focus point, no matter where it is in the frame.

The camera that loves people

Aside from the fast, accurate autofocus, which nails the eye of a subject, the Nikon Z5II is equipped with portrait features first found on the flagship Nikon Z9. These include Skin Softening, Portrait Impression Balance for more precise control of brightness and hue and Rich Tone Portrait, a picture control that suppresses white clipping and depicts skin in beautiful, rich detail.

See everything more clearly

The Nikon Z5II is equipped with a large, 3.2 inch, 2.1m-dot vari-angle screen so you can view, compose and shoot from any direction and see your subject in stunning detail. Information displays and menus also automatically reorientate when the camera is in vertical mode, so no more neck twisting! The superb 3000 cd/m² EVF is much brighter than the competition and gives a startlingly natural view of the world around you – perfect for those moving to mirrorless from a DSLR with an optical viewfinder.

Easy to use and up for a challenge

The compact form factor and ergonomics of the Nikon Z5II make it comfortable to handle on long shoots. Controls and button placement are in line with other Nikon Z cameras and the Z5II can easily be used with just one hand. With extensive weather sealing on the magnesium alloy body, two SD card slots and the ability to attach a battery grip, this is a camera that will see you through any challenge.
